        1. Travel Documents & Visas

        • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date, with at least 2–3 blank pages for entry/exit stamps.
        • Visas: Depending on your nationality, you may need multiple-entry visas for Botswana, Zimbabwe, and possibly Zambia(if crossing to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls).

        2. Health & Safety

        • Vaccinations: Check with your doctor for recommended vaccines. Yellow fever certificate is required if traveling from or through a yellow fever zone.
        • Malaria: This is a malaria-risk region. Prophylactic medication, insect repellent, and long sleeves in the evenings are highly recommended.
        • Travel insurance: Strongly advised, covering medical emergencies, evacuation, cancellations, and lost luggage.

        3. Accommodation & Facilities

        • Expect a mix of lodges and safari camps. Some nights may include camping in unfenced wilderness(tents with beds and semi-participation style with staff handling camp chores).
        • Amenities in the bush may be basic but comfortable, with the focus on the authentic safari experience.

        4. Weather & Best Time to Travel

        • Dry Season (May–October): Best for game viewing, cooler mornings/evenings, warm days.
        • Wet Season (November–April): Lush landscapes, birding opportunities, fewer tourists, but some activities may be limited due to flooding.

        5. Safari Activities

        • Expect a mix of game drives, boat cruises, mokoro rides, cultural village visits, and guided tours of Victoria Falls.
        • Some activities start very early in the morning (around 05:30) to maximize wildlife sightings.
        • The pace can be active, so moderate fitness is recommended.

        6. Packing & Essentials

        • Light, neutral-colored clothing, comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, reusable water bottle, binoculars, and a good camera.
        • Warm layers are needed for early mornings and evenings, especially in winter (June–August).
        • Luggage is often limited to soft-sided bags (15–20 kg) due to transfers by safari vehicles or small planes.

        7. Meals & Dietary Needs

        • Most packages include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though some days only include breakfast or packed lunches.
        • Notify in advance for vegetarian, vegan, or other dietary requirements —most camps and lodges can accommodate with prior notice.

        8. Border Crossings & Transfers

        • Multiple border crossings between Botswana, Zimbabwe, and possibly Zambia are involved. Guides will assist, but some patience may be required.
        • Transfer times vary; some are long drives on bumpy safari tracks—part of the adventure!
