        Clothing

        • Casual, comfortable clothing is suitable year-round. Neutral, dull colors are best.
        • T-shirts and light tops for daytime.
        • Jeans or safari trousers for cooler evenings and mornings.
        • A fleece or warm sweater for early morning game drives.
        • Thin, long-sleeve shirt for sun protection.
        • During winter months (June–Aug.), early mornings can be very cold — pack layers to keep warm in the game drive vehicle.

        Essentials

        • Good pair of sunglasses.
        • Sunblock and a wide-brimmed hat.
        • Insect repellent.
        • Binoculars.
        • Camera with fully charged batteries (and spare if possible).
        • Personal medication (a basic medical kit is available on site).

        Travel Tips

        • Pack light — luggage space is limited on safari.
        • If you have recently traveled to a yellow fever area, ensure you meet vaccination requirements.
        • Check and arrange the appropriate visa requirements for your nationality before traveling.
        • And most importantly… bring along a sense of humor — this is Africa!

          • A warm layer – mornings and evenings can be chilly, especially in winter or at high altitude.
          • Light rain jacket – for sudden showers.
          • Hat with wide brim – for sun protection.
          • Comfortable walking shoes/boots – for game walks and rough terrain.
          • Sandals or flip-flops – for relaxing at camp/lodge.
          • Swimwear – many lodges have pools.
